Accessibility is the new elephant in the room. By way of hours of research, I found this note from SiteImprove: ‘If you are using a CMS (Content Management System), the default setting should be that an empty alt attribute is added to all images.’ Is, or can this be, set?
Hi Lloyd,
I have confirmed that if an image is published within the CMS and it has no alt attribute, then an empty alt attribute is published.
We do have plans to make the alt attribute required on the file and image types. Let me know if this helps or if you have more questions.
Regards,
CW
Thank you, Chris.
