CM1 File Searching

when searching in cm1 for an asset with the path, it adds in //Folders/$System$/Assets/…/…/…/…/…
I navigate to the containing folder, then add a forward slash and the asset name, which used to pull the asset up for editing or display ‘File not found’ or ‘Path not valid’ or something to tell you the asset did not exist, it now appends the above directories and then goes back to just listing the directory you are in. Any ideas what changed? Or, how to get it to show that again?

Hi Scott,

Firstly, sorry for the delay in responding to you! I’ve done a couple of tests but I’m not 100% sure what you are trying to do. Are you trying to use the address bar to navigate to an item, or navigate to an item through the search results? The path you mentioned is a hidden system location which you can’t view through the UI. However I can’t reproduce what you are seeing, although I’m not sure I’m following the same process as you.

It’s now working correctly, but when I had the issue, if you tried navigating to an item through the search bar and it did not exist it would append “//Folders/$System$/Assets… + the restof the file path and filename” into the search box.
It now returns the correct message below that the path you entered is invalid.
I am not sure what changed.

If you try navigating to an item and it DOES exist I get this issue.
I navigate to the folder that contains the item that is on page 7 of 9 that I want to edit.

I enter the filename and press enter and get this. The file does exist between items 701 and 801.

I am merely trying to circumvent having to scroll through each page to find an item. This used to work but now seems broken.
