Desktop Content Explorer Application Error on OSX

We have just updated to Rx 7.3.0 Build 201306P01 (3234) [730_20160916]

I am trying to use the Desktop Content Explorer for the first time but I keep getting an application error.

The exception I am getting is

BadFieldException[The field href has an invalid value: dce.jnlp,dce.jnlp] at com.sun.javaws.jnl.XMLUtils.getAttributeURL(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.jnl.XMLFormat.process(Unknown Source)

I am running the latest version of Java (1.8.0 u 121 (build 1.8.0_121-b13)) and OSX 10.12.3

Is anyone else using Desktop Content Explorer successfully on a Mac?

Hi Duncan,

This looks to be a known bug (RHYT-1118) where Java 1.8 JRE versions greater than 101 fail to start on a Mac.    It was addressed in the 7.3.2 release.  This issue has been backported and will be corrected in the 7.3.0 patch that is shipping this week (patch is in QE today).

Hi Nate, thanks very much for the swift reply, here’s hoping the patch fixes it
All the best
Duncan

Duncan,

Quick update on this.  The 7.3.0 Patch is still going through QA iterations.  We hope to have this available to ship next week.
