Will using the Google Analytic connection widget automatically input the updated tracking code? Right now our site has an outdated/old tracking code that needs to be updated to strengthen our GA. I also can’t connect to our GA with our GA widget. I get a “Error authenticating (check service name)” error but my login credentials are correct. Is there something I’m missing?

The Gadget you are looking for is the Google Setup Gadget on the Dashboard. The instructions for configuring it can be found on the help site: http://help.percussion.com/percussion-cm1/overview/dashboard/configuring-google-analytics-integratio…
Once you have that setup you’ll be able to use other Gadget’s like the Traffic Gadget to track your site’s traffic right on the Dashboard.
Note that Google did make a change to the way their Analytics authentication works in prior versions of CM1, which caused authentication errors.
