How can you tell who modified a template?

When a user goes in and makes any changes to a template, is there an area that will display the modified date and user who made the modification? It would be nice to get this within the UI but I even scrubbed the log files and didn’t find anything for a templates name that I know was updated.

Templates do not have the concept of versions or an audit log.  I am converting this topic to an enhancement idea.
