I’d like to add a link to my top level navigation that would go to an external page. All of my current navigation is from within CM1 pages. How can I achieve this?

You can create “External Links” in your top navigation using the Navigation Editor. Go to CM1’s Navigation Editor, identify the Level you would like to add the External Section to and click on the “Add Section” icon (just like creating a regular new section). Once the New Section dialog opens, you will be able to choose “External Link” from the drop down. This way, you can add a new navigation entry that goes to an external link and control the link text within the user interface.
