Unable to retrieve job status error

I have been trying to publish my site for a few hours now and each time it fails. I receive an error that states “Unable to retrieve job status”. It repeats over and over and over again eventually causing a system crash. Any ideas on cause of this new error?

Additional details: I have tried rebooting the server and stopping and restarting the services, and still receive the same error.

Hi Jerome,

The first thing you can try is to fully stop then start the Percussion Service, and then attempt another publish.

Thanks Armani. I’m also reviewing my log files on the server. Many of which are 400MB and higher. Some are well over 1.3GB. Doesn’t seem normal.
