When I attempt to drop a widget into a region, the region disappears?

When I attempt to drop a widget into a region, the region disappears?? When I drag the widget from the bar into the editor to drop the regions that do not contain content disappear.

Sometimes JavaScript you’ve included on a page can interfere with our interface. To see if this might be the case, hover over View and select Disable JavaScript, and then attempt to drop the widget into the region again.
