Would like ability to globally specify file extension for all site pages (eg., html, htm, etc)

Adding the file extension is an extra step when creating a new page. Being able to globally specify a default extension would not only simplify the process but also ensure that no pages are created without the extension, which occasionally occurs now.

I agree with you, Debbie. This would be a very useful feature to have implemented in some administration area. I think it would still be nice to be able to control it at the page if I needed to, so maybe the default would be inserted in automatically, but you could go in and modify the page extension if you needed to. I am thinking this because I might need to publish a JSP, PHP, ASP, etc… page out for my site that I have the default set to .HTML on.

Good idea and suggestion and thanks for posting it up.
