A couple of image issues

A few of my editors have noticed a few hiccups.

When a user tries to change an image by selecting the image on the page and then clicking the image box in the toolbar, the can select the new image with no issue but when they click okay for it to be placed on the page, the image disappears.
When a user add’s a hyperlink to an image on a page, the image disappears. I have checked the source code and there is just a hyperlink on the page with no image.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for bringing these issues to our attention. Regarding issue #1, when you say the image disappears, is it removed from the page? Or is the original image still present?

Issue #2 has been discovered and has been filed as a bug which is in the process of being resolved now:

In regards to Issue #1 - No image is there. It removed the previous image and doesn’t insert the new image.

Hey Matt,

In the first issue, once the image disappears, are you able to then add the new image back in? Also, can you reproduce this by creating a totally new image in the editor, and then updating the image to point to a new image asset – or does the problem seem to only affect images already in editor pre-upgrade?

Yes I’m able to add the image back in after it disappears. This happens both in pre-existing pages before upgrade and pages created after upgrade.

The second problem outlined here (image asset disappearing when wrapped in a managed link) has been fixed in our latest patch for CM1 version 3.1. You can download the patch for your appropriate operating system here:

Let me know if you are able to recreate the first issue. As you said, it may have simply been a caching issue.
