Editing comments on a blog:We manage a comment moderated blog and often need to edit out personal information from comments prior to posting. Currently the comments gadget only allows you to approve or reject a submitted comment. It would be nice to have editing capabilities for comments so we don’t have to reject an entire comment.

I think this could be a useful moderation feature, and I do think that generally having more administrative type of control over user comments would be an improvement to the gadget. That said, I also would want to ensure that this type of admin edit would be coupled with a mandatory edit note that would be appended to the published comment, for the sake of transparency.
Definitely, and a Comments policy too. That’s how we currently handle it.
