Attempted update to Velocity Tools 2.0 - failed.

For anyone else who likes living on the bleeding edge of technology, here’s a couple things I ran into when I tried to update my Velocity Tools to version 2.0:

  1. Null Pointer Exceptions when cloning or serializing the $sys.assemblyItem object.
  2. New features that require the newer tool initialization don’t work.

So, this may be a result of me missing something when I updated the tools.xml file, but, alas, I fear that the new toolbox relies on a newer initialization scheme that tools 1.2-style initialization just can’t support.

If anyone get this working, please let me know.
