I am trying to create a blog homepage that displays all of the blogs my staff has written. I’d like to keep the page very very simple. I want to make all of our blogs available to be viewed. Can I configure a blog list widget to display the most recent 25 blogs? Where can I store the rest of the back dated blogs? Can I make the Blog List continually expand to hold every blog I will ever write?
Hi Joseph,
You can configure how many page results display on the list page by first navigating to Design view and selecting the template that contains the blog-list widget. Then click on the Layout tab and open the blog list configuration dialog by clicking on the wrench in upper right hand corner of the widget. Within the dialog there is a field where you can specify how many results you want the list to display on a page. Pagination of the additional posts is created dynamically on the published version of the site, so the list will continually expand as you create new posts.
Here is a link to additional information regarding the Blog-list Widget:https://help.percussion.com/percussion-cm1/manage-content/blogs/index
Thanks, Jon! Am I correct that a “more link” will appear if I exceed the maximum number per page?
Joe,
It will create a paging section at the bottom. A good example of this is our Percussion Blog: https://www.percussion.com/blog/
At the bottom you will see the paging links. You can style these with CSS as you would like as well.
