Am I misunderstanding the blog post widget’s “blog navigation” settings? I thought this was for links on the post that navigate from one post to the next, and I set it to use blog title. The links in the posts aren’t pulling the post title, which is what I expected, it just says “Newer Post Title” and “Older Post Title.”

Are you seeing this happen in preview mode or the published site or both?
It should only have that text when you are in preview mode within CM1.
