Can I make a nav folder with no landing page?

Hi I have a folder in my nav view under program called Majors (so it will show up in my nav widget). Under that folder I have both my majors listed so that they show up under the drop down.

Problem is I have no need for a majors section landing page. Is there a way to make a nav folder without an index page? Or to at least redirect that unneeded landing page to the first child item?

Hi Sandy,

The default behavior for the Navigation Section is to create a corresponding landing page for each section.

Some customers do have a server-level redirect set up for their landing pages. If this is the route you would like to go, you should contact who ever manages your website server to set up a redirect to any page of your liking.

Also, what some other customers do is use their landing page as a the section mini-site map. This is very simple in CM1. What you can do is on the Majors section landing page use a Page Auto List Widget to list links to all the majors pages. I think this method may work best for you.

Hope that helps,
