I’m having an issue with both Image and File assets (maybe others). Double clicking the asset, clicking edit, and selecting a new file (image or xml for example) to upload and clicking Save/Approve, does not update the asset. The image or the xml remains the same old version. It’s not a cache issue. The only way I’ve found to update the image or xml is to delete the Asset and add new. Then it updates.
We have xml files that we update regularly and didn’t have this issue in the past.
Hi Conan,
I’m going to try and recreate this issue to see if it is a bug. Could I have your version number as well as the links to the image/file/XML assets you’re trying to update? This way I can test it locally on my end.
Thanks!
Hi Ben,
Version 3.2.4 Build 201308R30 (0)
It happens with any jpeg/png and any xml file on my end.
Thanks
Hi Conan,
I ran a test on all 3 file types and they we able to update fine over here. The most common issue with this is users forgetting to click save before approving. But your certain that is not the issue in your case Correct?
There may be an issue with the file your are trying to upload on to your server. Can you send us a link to a file your are trying to upload so we can try testing it over here.
Thank you,
We are definitely hitting save before Approve/Publish.
This is the link to the file: http://worldwide.erau.edu/Assets/worl…
Thanks,
Conan,
This issue was found internally by our QE team as well. We found that there is a timing threshold that large files (ie 10MB) will trigger, but it may also be happening with smaller files as well. This has been addressed in our 3.3 release which is planned to be released by the end of October.
Ben, Dan & Armani,
The upgrade fixed this issue. Thanks!
Conan
