We have some content-types that we’d like to tag with their immediate academic area and related academic areas.
Our thoughts are to have two checkbox lists both populated from the same list of academic areas.
Does anyone have a better way of doing this or would our idea be the best way to go?

If you only select one “primary area” and one “secondary area”, I’d think you’d be better off with dropdowns than with checkbox groups.
Do you really intend to multiselect these areas?
I think the secondary areas may well have to be multi-select so perhaps a drop-down and then a check box.
But thanks for your reply. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a cleverer way of doing it.
