Child table field max length manipulation

I am trying to edit the max length of a text field contained within a child table, however the change doesn’t appear to save. When I click save everything appears normally but when I close the content type and re-open, the value is back to the original size. Is there anything I can do to fix this? We are running Rx 6.5.2 200710P01 rx-13785

Sounds like a bug, maybe introduced in some patch. It is working on my version of 6.5.2.

Have you tried changing the properties in the database?
Sometimes the Content Editor field size gets ‘hardcoded’ into the db so editing this may fix your problem
