Content item visible in View but not in folder?

Today I added a new content type. When I create a content item using that type, I browse to the folder under my Site where I’d like the content item to live, right-click and choose the content type from the New Item menu, fill out all the required fields, and click insert.

This is the same thing I do for all other content types. But for the new content type that I just added, for some reason the newly created content item doesn’t display in the folder under the Sites folder (even if I refresh). The newly created content item only appears under the Community Content/All view.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this might happen?

You probably thought of this already, but does the content item appear in Community Visibility? And when you right-click on it and choose Security, does the community has Read access, or at least does All Communities have it?
