I ran into this at CDC and wanted to share with you.
We recently tried to upgrade CDC’s dev environment from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 and noticed that the installer failed with error messages on a number of tables it was trying to DROP as part of the upgrade. CDC had scheduled replication of their database for a separate reporting project that essentially led the upgrade to fail. So, you want to ensure that the database isn’t set for replication while you’re doing any upgrades of CM System.
This led to another question that I wanted to confirm:
Would MSM or Package Installer every DROP any tables? If so, when?
