I just need to finalize what we will be getting from our hosted server provider. I have some questions before I pull the trigger:
- Do I need one server or two and Can the CM1 server run on the same server as the web server?
You need one host server.
We recommend that CM1 be hosted on a separate server (machine) than your web server for better performance and resource utilization.
This set up also allow a better leverage of resources, especially in the case of server maintenance or down time. If the CM1 server host is experiencing down time for any particular reason, then your web site does not need to be down if hosted on a separate server.
