Does anyone know how to edit the file name of an image once it’s uploaded as an asset? Is it possible? It appears as though you can edit the ALT text, the title text field and other fields under Meta-data, but not the file name. It remains grayed out and un-editable in edit mode

There is no direct way to change the filename of an existing image asset. One thing you can do is rename the image on your local computer, and then, with the image asset open for editing, select the “Upload an Image” option, browse to the renamed image file, and upload. You’ll see the filename of the asset match that of whatever image file you upload.
Of course, if you find this method to be unsatisfactory, please feel free to create a new topic on here using the “Idea” topic type, and request the ability to rename your image asset’s filename directly through CM1. If the idea gains enough support from other users voting on the idea, it may be incorporated into a future release of CM1.
