Error during webservices save

I am trying to save items through Percussion API. I am getting the following error:

The contract was violated for service ‘saveItems’. The underlying error was: dateString - invalid format.

I did remove the date field from the fields being, and still I do get this error.
Has anyone ever encountered something similar to the above error.

Hi,

Is the date field a required field or have you tried adding a default value on that content type? Also which language / framework are you using for the API client?
