Have proper asset file references in the WYSIWYG editor

The WYSIWYG editor still doesn’t let me verify asset file references when I add them as links; it still defaults to the internal code for the asset, rather than a human-readable reference to the asset file location in question.

In order for us to be able to manage the link, we need to maintain an internal reference until time of publish. This is what allows customers to move pages and assets without the fear of breaking links.

Why can’t you shield that internal reference from the viewer and display the actual file referenced?

Good point, this or some other way to easily reference the exact asset / page being linked to would be useful. I would still like to keep the actual managed link visible, though, so users can still add links to anchor IDs at the end of the managed URL.
