High-level redirector page needed to eliminate duplicate pages

I really need to make a page that lives in the root of my directory which will become a redirector to another page in my navigation.

Can I do this successfully by inserting a redirector code into the head of the metadata for the page???

What I want to accomplish is: CF.edu/conferences to go directly to (what the actual page navigation is…) CF.edu/Community-Visitors/At-CF/Conference-Services. This would help me tremendously not to re-create duplicate pages, yet give me a marketing strong arm I need for advertising a short, understandable URL.

Reason I am asking and not just doing this is because my site is NOT published out yet. Just so you know I have been paying attention, it is available as an option once you go to create a folder…I get that. But it is not available in page creation. I don’t want to have everything in high-level folders to accomplish this. If there is a better way to do this please let me know. Thank you.
