Percussion CM1 comes packaged with an internal Tomcat instance for publishing locally instead of publishing to a remote Live server, allowing you to create the “staging server” behavior. Through publishing configuration, you can choose to publish to local for a full preview of the site. The local server behaves just like a live web server, enabling to preview the full functionality of the site, including dynamic widgets, before publishing live. After confirming site functionality on the locally published instance, you can change the publishing definition to “Publish Live” in order to publish to your live web server.
