How to clear all EditLive and Java Client Caches

In some cases it is necessary to clear the client caches of EditLive and Java on a users machine. If a client user is having problems using EditLive or the Content Explorer, or if you are advised from Percussion Technical Support to do so, please follow these directions. These instructions will give you a “clean slate” with brand-new EditLive and Java caches, and will force a download of the latest Java Certificates from the CM System server.

1: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies. The history does not need to be cleared. (It is recommended that you perform this on EVERY browser that you intend to use with CM System.)
2: Close your browser and verify that no browser processes are running.
3: Load the Java Control Panel, switch to the “Security” tab, click the “Certificates” button, and delete any certificates from “Ephox Corporation” and “PERCUSSION SOFTWARE” on both the “User” and “System” tabs. Click OK to close the “Certificates” window, then OK to close the Java Control Panel.
4: Find the files and folders below for your Operating System, and follow the instructions in brackets.
