How to create a publishing hub server

I have a product 6.7 server that I now want to have a copy of running solely as a publishing hub. How should I go about doing this?

When you install the CMS there’s an option to say whether its a system master or publishing hub, but I don’t plan to do a clean install. What I want to do is something along the lines of:

  1. copy my RX tree from live server to publishing hub server
  2. disable full text search on the publishing hub server
  3. start it up, configure scheduled publishing tasks as necessary and enjoy the benefits

Is that all I need to do? Do I need to set something in config.xml for example to say its running as a publishing hub? Can you configure the server to ensure that only certain users can log into this machine?

Any other hints and tips on publishing hubs?
