Integrating Single Sign and Active Directory with Percussion

Is there any documentation on integrating SSO/AD with Percussion? Do we have any existing customers who have done this?

Single Signon is documented in the Server Administrator Help topic “Setting up a Web Server Security Provider for Single Sign-on” (Rhythmyx Server Administrator/Security in Rhythmyx/Security Providers and Authentication/Implementing Single-Signon/Setting up a Web Server Security Provider for Single Sign-on).

LDAP/AD is also documented in the Server Admin Help (Rhythmyx Server Administrator/Using Directory Services); see also (Rhythmyx Server Administrator/Security in Rhythmyx/Security Providers and Authentication/Defining a Directory Connection Security Provider.

I haven’t heard of anyone using them together. Can you provide more details about what CDC wants to do?

Sure, here’s a typical use case based on CDC’s requirements.

[ol]
[li]User logs into their desktop (windows machine). The desktop login is governed by Active Directory domain
[/li][li]User then uses their browser (IE/Firefox) to access Percussion
[/li][li]If the User is part of a Group within AD that has permission to access Percussion, they are taken directly to the Content Explorer screen, else they’re asked to login
[/li][/ol]

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks.
