Is it possible to render 5.7 XSLT snippet variant slot contents in 6.5.2?

Folks:

In our Rhythmyx instance that was upgraded from 5.7 to 6.5.2 we have a large number of items that are placed in a slot called nav_left_manual in our navons. They are Rhythmyx 5.7 XSLT snippet variants.

At least for now I’d like to be able to render this 5.7 content in a velocity page template but when I refer to the slot in the usual #slot() fashion nothing seems to be rendered.

Suggestions?

Oops! This was apparently due to a problem with our DEV database. This is fixed now so please ignore this post.
