When logged in as an Admin, in the Navigation Editor, I’m trying to move a section and the Move Section popup box (after clicking “Move Section” in the top right) displays the full HTML and isn’t easily readable by a non-techie like myself.

I have confirmed the appearance of the paragraph tag markup in the dialog. Thank you for pointing that out for us.
If this view for moving site sections is difficult to follow because of readability, I would like to suggest the Drag and Drop approach as an alternative. The Navigation view in CM1 is Drag and Drop capable, allowing you to move sections by dragging the one you want to move onto the one you want to move it into. When you do so, the target location will turn green to show it active. When you drop the section, it will relocate to the target.

The Engineering team has filed a bug against it and it will be fix
as part of the Release 2.7.
This has been resolved in the latest release.
