There is no exit gesture in this thread editor except the browser [Back].
There are many exit options that don’t call themselves ‘exit’.
There are the breadcrumbs at the top you can select.
There is forum jump at the on the bottom left corner of the page
There are the links across the top navigation
There are links at the bottom of the page to go where you want.
Lastly, you can always click on the logo on the top of the page and that will bring you back to the home page.
These are pretty typical navigation options in a discussion forum in my experience.
Click on the Breadcrumbs. You can go back to the Thread, the forum or the site.
Also, clicking on the Percussion Logo (at the top of the screen) takes you back to the beginning.
This is all pretty standard “Web Behavior”, and also it’s built into VBulletin. One of the downsides of using a software package is that you have to accept its quirks as a tradeoff for not having to build and customize it yourself.
VBulletin is far from perfect, but judging by the number of forums we find out there on the net, it’s widely accepted.
I appreciate the tradeoff. I won’t drone on any more about the usability of the platform.
