XSL Variants were deprecated with the introduction of the Velocity template engine in Version 6 of CM System. The product has continued to support them through the 7.2 release. XSL Variants will no longer be functionally supported by Version 7.3 of the product, due to architectural changes related to Inline Templates in Rich Text fields.
Prior to upgrading to version 7.3, XSL Variants should be converted to Velocity templates.
XSL Variants will continue to be supported on Version 7.2 of the product. The version 7.3 Release Notes and upgrade guides will be updated accordingly. For more information on the XSL Varient conversion process, please contact the Percussion Customer Success team.
