Packaging the Tree Structure without a downtime?

Has anyone found a way to package the tree structure of a Rhythmyx environment without stopping the service?

Doing so is bad practice. Hypothetically it is possible, but you’ll end up with orphaned temporary files all over the place. If these files aren’t found and removed before setting up your clone, assuming that’s what you’re up to, they could cause unexpected behavior in the environment or cause it to fail entirely. Additionally, if you create a clone while the server is running, who knows what users have open and are working on. It’s not likely their work will be saved correctly, thus causing further problems.

Before creating a clone of your environment or applying ANY patch or upgrade, we strongly recommend shutting down the entire server.
