Preview a database publish item?

I am wondering if it is possible to preview something that is going to be published via a database publish? For example, is there a URL that is availabe that would output the XML that is used to publish into the DB?

If you don’t get an answer after a while you may try Tech Support. We haven’t done much with DB publishing, and it would be helpful to know if this is possible.

Turns out this works OOTB. Once the template has been created, it previews like an HTML table. It’s not pretty, but it works. It is documented in the implementation guide.
