Publishing AutoIndexes on Incremental

Hi,

We have added several autoindexes to the inline slot on some of our Generic pages and noticed that these generic items don’t get picked up on an incremental publish if the autoindex changes. We have a workaround - a manually maintained content list of these generic pages which is published separately - but it’s not ideal.

We’ve got a solution from Percussion Support which results in over 50% of our total content publishing on every incremental. This seems extremely high.

I was wondering if any of you had experience of publishing inline autoindexes and, as a rough guide, whether you also saw high numbers of items published on an incremental.

Thanks.

Nick

We created another workflow state (Live Static), which we transition pages to after they have been published, but do not need to be picked up in every publishing run. This workflow state mimics the public state (so Rhythmyx links will be resolved when published), but the publishable flag is set to ignore. We transition all of our archive year auto indexes to this state, so they still look like they are live, but do not get picked up in every publishing run. You will also need to modify the item filter in your content list to only select the items in public, and not in “live static”. We also created another publishing edition that includes all of these pages for site-wide changes. Hope this helps

Cheers,
Raj
