Why do some file names in templates show in red and not black. Does this mean the is an error in the file?
This means that changes that have been made to the template layout such as splitting regions using the Design Inspector have not yet been applied to the pages. By clicking the checkbox button at the top right corner of the template card, it will apply the changes and merge the page content into the correct regions.
Thanks Dan. That worked but now I see an orange triangle that which suggests a Java error. I have removed all code and I only have five empty widgets on the page. Any ideas
Paul, These triangles indicate two separate issues. On the Design manager, the orange triangle indicates that there are sections on the template that are empty after you have assigned the page to the template. When in the Template Editor, the the orange triangle shows that there are issues with the page such as references to resources that are missing such as javascript, background images, CSS files, etc or that there are javascript errors. By clicking on the triangle, you will see a dialog with the list of issues. As you resolve each issue it will disappear from the list.
I’ve always wondered what “Red File Names in Template” means but thank you so much!
I think this really should be somewhere in this building templates.
