Second CM1 Install on same server

Can I install a second instance of CM1 on the same server as the existing CM1?

Hi Kait,

This is possible but not recommended for a few reasons. Can you share with me what your goal is with having two instances of CM1 running? Thanks.

We have a third-party that will be performing some CSS work on one of our sites. We did not want them to have any access to the other sites, even in read-only mode. Installing a second CM1 instance would provide allow us to restric their VPN connection to only that CM1 instance. Preferably, their access would only allow them to view and edit the site they are contracted for.
