Set a future date on a content item and not publish until that date.

A client asked if it was possible to set up a content item with a future day (say a week ahead of current date) and to automatically publish (or move from Quick Edit to Public) when it reaches that future date.

Has something like this been done with this CMS?

Thank you. Is this type of Workflow setup only available on newer versions of the CMS?
We’re currently stuck on version 6.61, but are in the process of upgrading.
