The content pane keeps getting hidden at the bottom of the screen. I see all of the directory structure, but no content. I drag the border between the directory structure and the content up so I can see the content, but the next time the screen refreshes the border falls back to the bottom. What controls where that border defaults to?

This is a known issue we have had with version 3.1. Please read this thread and see if any of the workarounds proposed solve this issue.

I’m pretty sure all in all that if you clear your cache, that would take care of the issue as long as you took care to not drag and change the size of the finder. You can minimize and expand using the plus/minus in the top left.
