Trouble activating CM1

As a new CM1 customer, I’m trying to activate CM1. When I put in my activation code and click the “Activate” button, I get the following error… “A connection error occurred. Please try again later. If you continue to have issues contact Percussion support.” Any suggestions?

Hi Jim,

Have you had a chance to check out this post on the community? Another customer encountered a similar issue.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Jon,

Thank you for the response. I don’t think that is our issue.

When I try to activate CM1, I get an error…

However, when I log onto the machine, and enter “wget https://delivery.percussion.com”, it seems to work…

When I try to access “https://delivery.percussion.com” from FireFox, that works as well, although it redirects to help.percussion.com.

Please help.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the screenshots and additional information. Since we have a support ticket filed for this, we can take this offline and continue to investigate. You should be receiving a notification in your inbox shortly.

To tie off the loop here, Jim’s issue was that he had installed a build of CM1 2.10 that had a misconfiguration in his delivery-servers.xml file, where the DeliveryServer element that handles licensing was pointing to an internal QA machine rather than the proper live server. Correcting this URL and restarting CM1 corrected the issue. This bug will only affect users who had installed using 2.10 originally, and not customers who had upgraded to 2.10.
